SparkleTree vs SevenRooms marketing.

SevenRooms holds your reservations and guest data and markets to the guests it already knows. SparkleTree promotes what is on tonight to the people who are not in the CRM yet. Most venues that run SevenRooms would keep it. Here is how the two fit.

SevenRooms is a guest CRM and operations platform.

On its own site, SevenRooms describes three product areas. A marketing hub with CRM and segmentation, marketing automation, email marketing, text marketing, and search, social and discovery. A guest experience hub with reservations and waitlist, events, experiences and add-ons, loyalty and perks, and reputation management. An operations hub with table management, revenue management, online ordering, reporting, event management and an API. It is used by restaurants, hotels, membership clubs, nightclubs and bars, sports and entertainment venues, and breweries and wineries.

Its marketing is built on the guest profile. Someone books, walks in, spends, and the CRM knows them. Email and text campaigns, automation and loyalty all go to those guests. That is a strength: the people who have already been in are the people most likely to come back, and a good CRM makes that easy to act on.

It is also the limit. A CRM can only market to the people it has a record of. The guests you have not met yet, the walk-ins who never gave an email, the table deciding whether to order another round and the person asking an AI assistant where to go tonight are outside it.

SparkleTree promotes to the people not in the CRM yet.

SparkleTree is an always-on digital promoter. You tell it what is on and what you want to sell, and it writes, schedules, places and measures the promotion. Before guests arrive, that means social posts, ads and website components about the DJ on Friday or the tasting menu on Thursday. In the room, the screens become live promoters for the premium pour, the pairing and the last VIP tables (the Android kiosk app pairs any screen in minutes), and a QR code on a table or a poster opens the same campaign on a phone, where guests can ask it questions and get answers in your brand's voice, tailored to them in real time. After they leave, tickets, tables, merch, gift cards and vouchers keep selling through your online store, and your events are readable by the AI assistants and agents people now ask for a night out. Campaigns can also be run from Claude, Codex or any MCP client; see developers.

SparkleTree does not take reservations, run a waitlist, manage tables or hold a guest database. When a SparkleTree campaign brings someone in, the booking still happens on the reservation page you already have. If that page is SevenRooms, that guest becomes a SevenRooms record, and the CRM takes it from there.

Pick the tool that matches the job.

Pick SevenRooms if

Reservations and guest data are the job.

You take bookings, run a waitlist and a floor plan, and want one guest record across the host stand, the POS and your email and text marketing. That is what SevenRooms is built for. SparkleTree does not replace your reservations, waitlist or table management; its webhooks connect it to your POS and the rest of your stack.

Pick SparkleTree if

Filling the room and selling tonight is the job.

You need what is on to reach people who have never booked, on social, on the screens in the room, on phones, in your store and through AI assistants. Nobody on the team is a marketer. You want a promoter, not another database.

Use both if

You run SevenRooms and still have quiet nights.

Keep SevenRooms for reservations, guest profiles and campaigns to past guests. Add SparkleTree to promote every event and offer to the people not yet in the CRM, and send them to your existing booking page when they are ready.

How the two fit on a Friday.

Tuesday. The manager adds Friday's guest DJ and the two mezzanine tables to SparkleTree. In SevenRooms, the marketing team sends the week's email to guests who came to the last DJ night. Two audiences, no overlap in effort.

Wednesday to Friday. SparkleTree posts the announcement and the reminder, updates the website and puts the night in front of AI assistants. Every link points at your SevenRooms booking page. Guests who book from those posts are now in the CRM for next time.

Friday, 21:00. The host stand runs the floor in SevenRooms. The screens above the bar switch to the tequila flight and the pairing. A QR code on each table opens the offer on a phone. At 23:00, the two empty tables are offered to the guests in the room.

Saturday. SevenRooms has the spend and the profiles for the guests who booked. SparkleTree has what sold from the screens, the phones and the store, and the tour tee is already in the store. The upselling playbook and selling gift cards and merch online cover the second half of that night in detail.

What SparkleTree is not.

SparkleTree is not a CRM. It does not take reservations, run a waitlist, seat tables or hold guest profiles. If those are the problems you are solving, SevenRooms or a product like it is the right category and this page will not talk you out of it. It does plug into what you already run: its webhooks connect it to your POS and the rest of your stack. Read how SparkleTree works for bars and nightclubs for what it does instead.

FAQ

Questions about SevenRooms and SparkleTree.

Do we have to leave SevenRooms to use SparkleTree?

No. SparkleTree is not a reservations, waitlist or table management product and does not replace a CRM. Most venues that run SevenRooms keep it. SparkleTree runs alongside it as the promoter: it writes, schedules, places and measures campaigns on social, your website, screens, phones, your store and AI assistants, and points guests at the booking page you already have.

Does SparkleTree integrate with SevenRooms?

There is no built-in connector today. In practice the two meet at your booking link: SparkleTree campaigns send guests to the reservation page SevenRooms hosts for you, and those guests become records in SevenRooms once they book. SparkleTree also has comprehensive webhooks, so it can be wired into your POS and the rest of your stack, and developers can automate more with the SparkleTree API and MCP server; see developers.

SevenRooms already has email and text marketing. Why add SparkleTree?

Because that marketing reaches the guests already in the database. SparkleTree promotes to everyone else: people scrolling, people walking past a screen, people at a table deciding what to order next and people asking an AI assistant where to go tonight. It also sells the upgrade in the room and keeps the store selling after close, which are not CRM jobs.

Is SparkleTree affiliated with SevenRooms?

No. SevenRooms is a trademark of its owner and SparkleTree AB is not affiliated with it. This page describes SevenRooms using what is publicly documented on sevenrooms.com, with each page linked in the sources at the end, and makes no claims about its prices or performance.
